Dr. Lynn Loyd covered Judges, Joshua, and Ruth on Wednesday and it was awesome!  We learned in Judges that it was a time without a king and authority belonged to different judges.  And throughout their rule, Israel experienced a temporary time of rest.  In Joshua, we studied Joshua's calling, "to lead Israel across the Jordan, observe and meditate on the law, be strong and courageous, and know the Lord is with him wherever he goes." Finally, in Ruth we saw God's "providence and kindness" towards those who love Him and follow Him.  I am always challenged by the story of Ruth and her fierce faithfulness and devotion to Naomi and God.
