Getting to Know Ginny

Q: When/how did you become involved with Lightbearers?

A: I've been connected with Lightbearers for several years. In the fall of 2009, Julia Robinson (board member) contacted me about staff opportunities. I met with Kevin (McCollum) and the Board in October and quickly saw God's calling to join.

Q: What is your favorite book and/or quote?

A: All of the quotes that are in my quote book.

Q: What excites you about the Lightbearers' vision?

A: Seeing God making Himself known both here and abroad - there's nothing better. I love the fact that in our passion to fan the flame of God's name abroad, we don't neglect it here.

Q: Other than Jesus, what Bible character would you want to have lunch with?

A: Moses. He was raised by people not his own, wandered in the desert for 40 years, led two million people to the promised land and then didn't get to enter, met with Jesus on the mountain (in the promised land!)... Plus, I'm sure he'd be excited to have something besides manna. I feel confident that he would be a fan of mexican food after that.

Q: Other than Bible characters, what three people, living or dead, would you want to have lunch with?

A: I would say A.W. Tozer, but I hear he could be a recluse and not much into talking. Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth I - I definitely want to help them resolve their issues. Maybe LBJ and Jack Ruby - would love to see what happens in that room. Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington - what was it like to throw off the chains and commit treason?

Q: What does a fun, relaxing day look like for you?

A: Any or all of these elements: deep in the woods surrounded by the glorious colors of fall, bonfire, deep conversation, laughter and adventure.
